Snowed In Con't..

Saturday: I'M DYING!! I didn't get to sleep until about 2:30am last night. I woke up around 6:45 this morning. I laid there thinking "what the hell am I going to do at this hour?" I looked outside to see how much snow we got (they were predicting about two feet for Frostburg) and what do ya know, just about two feet was right outside my window. The snow plows were working diligently overnight, (partially why I barely got any sleep) and all their hard work, all their tracks.. covered.

What I accomplished today:

-went to try and start my car
-stood in the snow and measured it (just above my knees)
-looked at my car from afar
-realized it's buried and that I will not be starting it up today. Try again tomorrow, Allyson.
-came back inside
-took a shower
-took half a Nyquil to knock me out for the day
-turned on Straight Outta Compton (took me all day to watch it since the Nyquil knocked me out)
-finished Straight Outta Compton
-stared out the window for 15min
-ate some food
-called some people (mom, dad)
-played some games on my phone until I ran out of lives
-swept the floor
-painted my nails
-screwed up my nails so I redid them

BurgAlert: FSU NOW CLOSED UNTIL TUESDAY. MOVE-IN WILL BE TUESDAY. CLASSES WILL BEGIN WEDNESDAY.

Oh my gosh you have got to be kidding me....

Signed, Exhausted

I thought i'd dive back into ADHD for a bit. I mean, that's why i started this blog in the first place, right? Lately it's been weighing heavily on me - weighing me down, actually. So much that i started researching ADHD again, and affects of it. Lately i have just felt so exhausted. I am mentally exhausted. It is exhausting waking up every morning and being ME. Every day, i manage to find something to bitch about. Something is out of place in the house. Something was not cleaned properly. Something was knocked over and not picked up. People not thinking the way i think. UGH! I just want to scream some days. I look forward to getting back in bed after work. Not so much like a depressed hermit.. more like i want some alone time, my bed is comfy and cozy, and i can just relax. Sidenote: Relax? What's that mean? 2020 - what a time to be alive.. and WELL!

 WOW. i just read what i wrote back in September, and i come back almost a year later. Did you miss me? I kept telling myself i need to get back to blogging; it really helped me cope with internal thoughts and feelings. The daily life of one with ADHD is always a struggle. Let's quickly update you since last September: March 16th, 2020, My boyfriend and i were sitting at a long rectangle table, signing the papers to our NEW HOUSE!!! Yes, we bought a house and i am so excited and proud of us! It's a nice little 3bed, 2bath house with an unfinished basement, and plenty of fun upgrading projects. When the basement is finished, it will be a 4bed, 3bath (well oddly, the 3rd bath is actually finished down there, but that's it). On top of the house, let's go ahead and add the fact that we are in the middle of a PANDEMIC right about now. Yup, good ole COVID-19; the virus that spread from China to all over the globe. Busy Brains... REALLY Busy

I recently had a brain scan done. Just when I thought i knew everything there was to know about myself, my eyes were opened much wider. If you've been reading my blog posts, you can probably see that while i know myself and understand how i operate, i still struggle to cope and adjust at times. Often, actually. But this brain scan was the cherry. The word for this experience: validation. Internet research has helped validate some things i'd be curious about, but this brain scan.. THIS RIGHT HERE.. took the cake! Based on the questionnaire, i presented difficulty with 'Regulation of emotional output (anxiety/depression)' and she explained to how ADHD fell into and played a role there. High level description of my experience: they put a mesh cap on your head with a bunch of wires and water-soluble gunk that help read your brain waves.
